Latent Images is a series of AI-generated images derived from Weiner's Latent Gestures charcoal works, which are used as prompts and models. Gesture is reformatted as spectacle, simulation, and proof, oscillating between documentation and fabrication. Scale, context, circulation, and repetition produce credibility as authorship becomes diffuse. The installation shot's function as exhibition evidence collapses as original charcoal works are edited into AI-generated spaces and AI-generated images are edited into real spaces.
